On Tuesday Park Rangers discovered dozens of beached whales in the Everglades National Park in southern Florida. The Park Rangers and the wildlife workers did their best to try and keep the whales as stable as possible until the tide came in. About 30 whales were still in the water, but about 10 were on land. The water the whales were in was not deep enough for them to swim out of. Out of the 10 whales on land 4 died and the other 6 where brought into deeper water by the Park Rangers. The whales where known as Pilot Whales and tend to stray from their pods. They are common to beach themselves, get rescued, and re beach themselves.
