Duck Dynasty Star Suspended
Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson is suspended from the air after he made some controversial remarks on air. His remarks were about gays in a magazine. He says "It seems like, to me, a vagina -- as a man -- would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical." He also spoke about growing up in Louisiana before the civil rights era and talks about race.

Beached Whales
On Tuesday Park Rangers discovered dozens of beached whales in the Everglades National Park in southern Florida. The Park Rangers and the wildlife workers did their best to try and keep the whales as stable as possible until the tide came in. About 30 whales were still in the water, but about 10 were on land. The water the whales were in was not deep enough for them to swim out of. Out of the 10 whales on land 4 died and the other 6 where brought into deeper water by the Park Rangers. The whales where known as Pilot Whales and tend to stray from their pods. They are common to beach themselves, get rescued, and re beach themselves.

Gonzaga Expulsion
Students are facing suspension or even expulsion after using a firearm to fend off an intruder in their University- owned apartment. The act of using the firearm violates the schools weapon policy. On October 24th there was a knock on the door of the apartment rented by Erik Fagan and Daniel McIntosh. Erik answered the door and a six-time convicted felon asked for 15 dollars. Erik gave the man a blanket and a can of food, but didn't feel comfortable giving him money. The man made his way the the door when Erik yelled to Daniel. Daniel came with a pistol and the man turned and ran. The two called the police right after. When the campus security came they confiscated a pistol and a shotgun for the apartment. They both face either expulsion or suspension for possessing a firearm on school grounds and putting others lives in danger through a firearm.

80 Year Old Couple Finds Long Lost Love
Chuck Lewis and Sandy Gutting first met each other in April of 1945. Chuck was only 17 and Sandy was 16. Chuck says it was love at first sight. He first saw her on the Oceanside Pier in San Diego. Gutting was visiting from Los Angeles for a short time. Chuck however lived right in San Diego. The two kept in touch for the summer. They would meet almost every weekend and chuck would make the drive to Los Angeles. Once school started up again it was hard for them to keep in touch and Chuck could no longer make the trip. They were soon torn farther and farther apart. They were in love, but it seems as distance got in the way of that. They both grew up to get married, have a family, and steady jobs. Sandy was a flight attendent who married a passenger she met on the plane. He died of a heart attack only 17 years after they were married. She was left to raise four daughters. When she retrired she moved out to Seattle so she could be closer to family. Chuck joined the Air Force. He then went on to manage a lock making company. Chuck's first marriage lasted only 10 years. He had two daughters with his first wife. His second marriage lasted 18 years. He then retired and moved to Oceanside, California in 1990. They basically forgot about everything, or so it seemed. Chuck says he never forgot about their summer romance. Chuck got Sandy's email in 2007 and the two exchanged information. Sandy made the trip to San Diego and the summer fling was once again ignited. They lived about 1,200 miles away, but they didn't let this become a problem again. They would talk on the phone twice a day, once at 9:00 A.M. and again at 9:00 P.M. They also meet one week out of every month. At night they play games of online scrabble. Chuck says that they don't like to think about what could have been, because all they have left is the future and they are ready to face it together.

$300k Frankenburger
A 300,000 dollar hamburger was made in a Laboratory. It was made by Mark Post in a lab in the Netherlands. It has brought up more talk than just the cost. This hamburger was grown by stem cells which are the building blocks of the human body. Mark used the stem cells from a cows body that repair the muscle. Many people are saying this is a huge step for mankind. They think if we can grow meat in a lab then we won't have to kill animals and it will help out the environment immensely. It took Post many years and apparently 300,000 dollars to create.
